Speaking of visual aids these new Hi-Viz pop-ups from Mainline will have your eye out, they're so bright fished as on the left of the pic “Snowman“ style. These 10mm Hi-Viz pop-ups, which perfectly balance 18mm boilies and add, added visual attraction with a gorgeous flavour to boot! The most popular being the latest “Indian Spice” in green, the pure white “Milky Toffee” and “Fruitella”, everyones favourite that one!

We are hoping to stock these 10mm Hi-Viz baits on site shortly, but if you could find them in your local tackle shop, it would greatly improve your edge if you brought some with you. Two thirds of a dumbbell hooker and two thirds of a

10mm pop-up make a perfect ‘wafter’ where the weight of the hook is just enough to sink the rig on the bottom.

Here is a selection of my favourite hooklenghs, I always use 25lbs when in France and my current preference is the RigMarole Hydrolink in either green or grey, but I’m always ringing the changes with the other braids. The coated ‘Cortex’ style braids I tend to use on short 3”-4” hooklenghs I use when fishing over the gravel.
