Speaking
of big hauls, James Becker, fishing swim 22 on the 1st week,
landed a total of 43 fish from DL2 including 9 x 30's and 3 x
40's up
to 46lb, a mirror for a change. James tells me, he fished near
the middle in a deep silty area.
He
found he noticed bloodworm on his leads, marked out his lines
on the bank to be fairly consistent with his range, fishing "Cell" and "A-8" boilies
scattered with a stick some 20-30 every 30mins or so; what
we call on the lakes "blasting & bagging" using
chopped Cell and A-8 boilies in a bag, dipping his bags in

enhancer,
fished on size 9 hooks and 12lb Supa Nova hooklengths. James
top tip is "the harder you work at it, the better
it gets."
Olly
Holcombe, on the other hand, also on DL2, caught 29 carp up to
the magical 56lb 10ozs. Olly's method was to fish A-8 boilies & stringers
and just generally cast them here and there midway out and just
loosely scattered A-8 boilies in the general area, fishing a
size 4 Korda hook and the Rig Marole Hydralink hooklengths 12" long.
