Matt's Master Class
(A guide to fishing DreamLakes)

DL5
Our latest addition to the DreamLake complex is not abundant in features but nonetheless holds some cracking fish.

The margins play a large part in fishing DL5 effectively and, as with DL4, it is wise for anglers to spread out around the lake to give an equal amount of water and reduce the places for fish to hide.

Once again, the ‘clipping up’ method is extremely useful when placing a bait against the tree line. Bait up cautiously at first – after all, you have all week so can progress at a steady pace. It is not a race and remember: we are always learning and these skills that will catch you fish as a result of your own hard work, will be appreciated that much more.

Reminder: due to the size of catfish, always make sure that your clutch or baitrunner is set correctly.

Tip: use large hooks if fishing for the cats; but for carp, size 8’s or 6’s will be fine.
