A beautiful lake, very high in features with small bars and plateaus making them easy to find. Also, some nice weed beds can be found which provide a haven for carp during hot weather.

Tip: try dropping a pva bag in a weed bed with a small lead or a couple of stones.

As before, try and find at least 2 spots leaving 1 rod to experiment with; perhaps use a zig or, even to cast to rolling fish – simple changes which may bag you a beauty! Certainly the margins are more likely to produce on DL3, DL4 or DL5 (more so than on DL1 or DL2), possibly due to the difference in shelf depth and it is definitely worth finding a feature close in.

Tip: long hooklinks and 4-5inch pop-ups have produced good results for me, including some nice 40lb+ grassies.
