Topography
The spit opposite is a major feature which is full of potential, with depths of 4 feet only 2 yards off the bank sloping away to about 7 feet only 10 yards from the spit. Other areas should not be ignored such as the silt and gravel patches that abound in front of the swim from a distance of 20-70 yards range.

Hotspots/Distance/Direction
In line with the tallest thin tree tight to the far bank of the spit. By tight I mean 1 yard from the bank! You will find 3' of water here and it slopes off fast. The distance is 80 yards to the spit. MR in line with skinny tree standing on its own silt patch with 7 feet depth, and it's a 65yds cast. LHR only 30 yds out is a gravel patch surrounded by weed.

Tips/Observations
Watch for bubbling fish on the silt area. Crashing under the bushes at the spit and the water being made dirty. It fishes best on a new SW or S wind.
