DreamLake 5 Swim Guides

DreamLake 5 is just a bit bigger than DL4, with very much the same features. It has a gully/drop off running across the centre of the lake from one side to the other. Gravel and silt pockets are all over the lake, to be found with some very large gravel areas where I believe the fish have kept them clean. Along one bank there are 4 swims with another 4 swims opposite. A tree line goes down one side whilst there are bushes overhanging the water at the other side.

The amount of fish in this small lake is huge with mirrors, commons, grassies and, as an added bonus for those who fancy it, VERY BIG CATFISH! (I am talking over 100lb in weight here). Multiple catches are frequent as there are no places for the fish to hide in this lake. There are some really good fish in here too, with fish to a similar size as DL4 - and don't forget about the Big Cats!

Fish this lake with a bed of bait (pellets are good) and keep the bait going in on the areas. Don't be afraid to move if you think you can do better elsewhere - you have not got far to go! Watch the water for signs of groups of fish giving away their whereabouts. As with DL4, the lodge is very handy for showers/toilets. It also has a shop, which is well stocked with bits & bobs, in case you forgot to get them down at the main lodge between DL1 and DL2. This main lodge is where all the meals are prepared, cooked and, best of all EATEN!!!

Big fishes to you all……………Paul "Richy" Richardson.
