DreamLake
3 Swim Guides
This lake is a fantastic
lake to go on - either as a package holiday or Drive 'n'
Survive. There are 16 swims in total, 8 on each side and
the lake is stacked full of features to fish to including
plateau's, bars, and gravel/silt spots. There are also
5 of the swims, which you can fish the tree lines at either
end of the lake from. The fish get caught from all over
the lake and show themselves. The swims are comfortable
with my favourite side being the side nearest the lodge.
The lake is maturing well and has produced its first 50lb+
fish, (a common) in 2005.
There are stacks of fish
just waiting to be caught in this lake. Commons, mirrors
and catfish are in the lake and, as I have said, it put
out a 50lb+ immaculate Common in 2005. This is the current
lake record but will surely be heavier this year (2006).
There are also other fish approaching the magical 50lb
barrier with a number of 40's in the lake. There are also
rakes and rakes of 30lb+ fish, hundreds of 20's and "teens" as
back up fish. I would say this lake looks 8-9 acres with
little bays to keep an eye on.
DreamLake 3 is (or can be)
an excellent runs water. That's not to say that it is all
the time, but if you go along and work hard you WILL reap
the rewards. I fished this lake for 5 and a half days and
managed 47 fish to 45lb+. For more information see the "tail" entitled "Try
3 for a change". Fish it hard and fish it well and
you will definitely enjoy this water to its potential,
as I did.
Tight lines one and all
