DreamLake
2, Pegs 6-12
These are pegs that I group
together for 2 reasons:
1.
They are all in the middle of the east bank of the lake
2. If one of these swims is fishing well, the others usually are
This
is not set in stone but generally seems to be correct. To the right
of peg 11 is a water inlet. To my knowledge it is not running
all
the time, however when it is, the fish like to mill around in this
vicinity.
Pegs 10 and 9 are a double swim,
ideal if you and a mate are "sharing" gear! This
leaves swims 8, 7 (the log seat) and 6. All have produced a
lot of fish and have produced big fish! The swims either really
fish well or they don't but there is no reason when they are
not fishing really well that you should not pick up what I
would call a reasonable amount of fish (12-15 carp).
You have gravel, silt, clay and
clean spots amongst weed, which can lead to good fishing if
fished accurately and by putting in the effort. WATCH THE WATER!
The fish will give away their whereabouts but they will move
if you don't give them enough grub to keep them there for a
period of time. Once a few fish have disturbed the bottom,
others will come in to have a look and see what is going on.
Make sure what is "going on" is your bait being eaten!
Hard work, yes, but the rewards are there to be had. Depths
vary from 3ft in your margins to 7ft at 75yds. You may find
smallish raises in the bottom of 6in to 1ft so look at for
those as they can prove to be the difference in taking a "few" fish
and taking a "lot" of fish. Your depths vary from
6-7ft over various spots and distances. These swims will have
fish moving through them in the summer especially, so your
job is to hold them and pull them down onto your baited area.
