Bailiff's Diary: June 2010
w/e 25th June

Well what a nice week weather wise. It started off wet until Tuesday, then wallop!! Summers here again with highs of 34 degrees, 15 - 18 at nights even!! Don’t forget to bring your sunscreens and after sun products lads, they're not just for girls you know.

What a kick in the balls, as I’m writing this England have just lost to those stinking kraunts again, that will put a damper on this week for the lads here I’m sure. Here’s hoping a few good fish will cheer them up!!

Info bit:- Grange and Cell produced most fish, bags and sticks with a light sprinkle of bait with a ‘stick’ being the chosen method, there was a few fish out on the Zigs but hey! We’ve just had a new 60lb common from Lake 1 this week.

“Bleedin Germans!!”

Right I will start over the road on Lake 1 first “Top dogs” on 1 were Steve O’Reilly in the “Snags”, and Rhys Morgan “Slope” who both had 24 fish each!!

Bailiff's Diary: June 2010
w/e 18th June

Unsettled, warm but with changeable winds unusual for us this time of year, most of the week was overcast with the odd rain shower, night time temps of 12-14 degrees, but highs during the days of 18-20 degrees, not the type of weather for topping up the old tan!!

A quick run down of the lakes, Lake 1 lots of fish from the bar, pop-ups and small bags, Lake 2 spodding chops and accurate baiting proved productive (as ever) Lakes 3 and 4 fish quite well, whilst Lake 5 was a little bit slower!!

Bailiff's Diary: June 2010
w/e 5th June

It was my week off again this week, they seem to come around rather quickly, I think the lads got the holiday rosta wrong again this year!! Anyway Sid did the honours this week for me, and has collected up all the catch report forms, and relevant info for me, mind you I still need you guys to fill in the fish weights sections, and naming the baits you used also gives a helpful guide to other anglers in the coming weeks.

Weather wise the start of the week was rather cloudy, overcast with some rain, a bit windy on Wednesday, then Thursday and Friday the sun came out proper 30 degrees daytime and a balmy 15 at night as well. We were hopeful that the sport would start to pick up after last weeks efforts, hopefully that’s out of their systems now!!

I’ll start with the lads over on Lake 1, good bunch of guys, who’d paid for the whole lake and then only 10 fished, each paying extra. As a result the less anglers normally means less caught, surprisingly that is, all lakes fish better when there’s even pressure around the lakes, it gives the fish nowhere to hide for a start, still I know the lads on 1 had a great time.

Peter Wood 43.12lb Common DL1

Lake 1
<<< Pete Wood in “3 Steps” took a catch of 14 fish, which happened to include a fine brace of 40lb carp both actually went 41lbs-6ozs Mirror and a 43lb-12oz Common on the Cell and a magical special, I’m lead to believe!! 25kg in fact!!

Harry Hibbert-Brooks “Sunset” took a cool haul of 12 fish for the session on his Poacher baits.

Daryl Bond >>> “Nelsons” had 8 fish out which again included a brace of 40lb plus Commons the best went 42lbs seems he’d nicked some of Pete’s bait, but only 9 kgs.

Steve Lands >>> “Chimneys” only had 3 fish but the best however being a rather large 53lb Common, on I’m told a Bumcrack boilie, hope that ain’t a wind-up as a few of his mates claim to be on the same bait!!

Daryl Bond 42.4lb Common DL1

Cliff Brooks 49lb Common DL1

<<< Cliff Brooks “Ladies Lair” had a 10 fish catch top fish a 49lb Common, Cliff used Cell dumbbells and plastic, and poacher rum n raspberry!! Just 15kgs.

Ben Wood “Snags” had a catch of unlucky 13, the best a 40lber again on the “Bumcrack”.

Finally for the week Matt Wood >>> down in “Herbies Hole” had a haul of 10 fish a 40lb Common, then rounded off with a brace of 50’s both Commons of 50lb-15ozs and the other 52lb-7ozs.
