4 x 50lb+ carp to 59lb this week
Individual hauls up to 38 fish
Loads of pristine 40’s, 30’s and 20’s as usual

Top Carp this week went to Andy Gowan (DL3-swim 16-undisclosed boilies) with a beautiful 59lb common among his 17 fish catch.

Top Cat went to 16 year old Harvey Cooper (DL3-swim8-Nash boilies & plastic corn) with a 79lb specimen.

Top Catch went to DL regular, Ron Pascoe (DL2-swim 25-Active-8) with a 38 fish haul including a stunning 53lb common, 45lb 12 oz mirror and 12 x 30’s.

Other 50lb+ carp went to Jon Read (DL1-Snags-Nash Tangee each Plus) with a 50lb 4oz common and Pete Weedon (DL3-swim 7-Nash boilies and plastic corn) with a 50lb common.

Other notable catches went to:
DL1 – Ronnie Boodle (Slope-Nash boilies) with carp to a 44lb common; Darren Andrews (Haven-Active-8) with carp to a 40lb 12oz mirror and Bob Foord (Pads-Cell & fake corn) with carp to a new PB 40lb 4oz common.
DL2 – Craig Cottom (swim 3-Pineapple) with carp to a 44lb 6oz common; Andy Rotherham (swim 30-Active-8) with a 19 fish catch to a 44lb 4oz leather; M Owen (swim 15-Pulse) with carp to a 44lb common; Barty (swim 12-Active-8) with carp to a 43lb common; Dave Brompton (swim 23-Active-8) with carp to a 42lb 8oz common; Gary Cottom (swim 4-DLS Pineapple) with carp to a 40lb 8oz mirror, Dave Jenkins (swim 21-Quest Crab) with carp to a 40lb 4oz common and Bailiff Paul (Bailiff swim-Active-8) with carp to a 42lb common.
DL3 – Steve Cooper (swim 10-Crab & Mussel) with carp to a 48lb common; Matt Binks (swim 4-Active-8) with carp to a 47lb 4oz common; Harry Cooper (swim 12-Tutti Fruiti) with carp to a 46lb 4oz common and Jon Spooner (swim 14-Crab & Mussel) with carp to a 41lb mirror.
DL4 – Bill Lancaster (swim 3-Active-8 & plastic corn) with carp to a 46lb common.

Weatherwise it seemed to be a bit of a mixed bag, with plenty of rain as well as some welcome sunshine. Temps peaked at a very warm 28C (day) and averaged around 15C (night).

Matt says that the week produced a “good amount of quality fish. Tight, accurate baiting is paying off (‘Clipping up’ is essential with tight baited areas) and the margins are producing well through the night whilst they appear to be moving out during the day”. He also suggests that you make good use of the grinders on site for making boilie crumb which, he adds, is “excellent for sticks and bags”.

7 x 50lb+ carp again this week (one angler bags 3 fifties from DL1)
A New Lake Record 50lb 8oz mirror for DL4
Individual hauls of up to 56 fish (DL2)
Loads of stunning, hard fighting 40’s and 30’s as usual
… another excellent weeks fishing!

Top Carp went to Bill Greenhill (DL1-Beach-Active-8) who took an impressive 3 x 50lb+ carp to a 56lb mirror. Also in his haul were 4 x 40lb+ to a 46lb mirror and 3 x 30lb+ carp to a pair of 36lb 8oz fish, one a mirror and the other a common. Scott Saunders (DL1-West Point-Active-8) also managed an admirable 51lb 8oz common while notable 40’s went to: Simon Reid (DL1-various swims-Pro-Active Pineapple) with commons of 48lb & 47lb, Faron Casey (DL1-various swims-Solar Quench) with a 45lb 6oz common and John Green (DL1-Chimneys-The Source) with a 44lb common.

DL2 also produced some excellent catches with over 124 fish falling to just 3 anglers. Top Catch went to Richard Bedford (swim 25-DreamLake Specials) with a 56 fish catch to a 38lb 4oz common while Top Carp went to Robert Pettengell (swim 10-Pro-Active Pineapple) with a new PB 47lb 8oz common and 7 x 30’s including a new PB 36lb 12oz mirror. Martin Venn made up the impressive threesome with a 30 fish catch to a 45lb common.

A stunning 53lb 2oz common headed the line up for Top Carper, Simon Taylor (DL3-swim 12-Cell) who also took a rather nice 48lb 3oz common too. Close on his heels was Steve Maytum (DL3-swim 5-Active-8) with a 51lb common among his catch. Top Catch went to Martin Stafford (DL3-swim 10-Snail & Shell) with a 24 fish haul to a 43lb 12oz common and included 6 x 30’s to a 39lb common. Other notable 40’s went to; Stewart McCallum (DL3-swim7-Maple 8) with 2 x 40’s to a 47lb 4oz common and Peter Taylor (DL3-swim15- Home made boilies) also with 2 x 40’s to a 47lb 2oz common.

Last but not least, DL4 presented a beautiful New Record 50lb 8oz mirror to Justin Key (swim 7-DreamLake Specials) along with a 41lb mirror and 5 x 30’s to a 39lb common while DL5 presented the Top Cat, weighing in at 90lb, to Andrew Kennedy (swim 7-undisclosed boilies) and a pair of 40’s to a 44lb mirror for Kevin Kennedy (swim 4-undisclosed boilies).

Weatherwise, it was a bit of a varied week starting with sunshine & showers and scoring temps of 21C (day) and 12C (night) and moving up to sun, sun, sun by the end of the week with temps of 27C (day) and 15C (night)…… lovely!

Another spectacular trip has produced over 8 tonnes of fish including a Record equalling 62lb common from DL3, 4 x 50lb+ carp, over 40 x 40lb+ carp and individual catches up to 47 fish for the week….. not to mention the loads and loads of 30’s and 20’s etc!

And the weather was pretty awesome too, with lots of lovely sunshine (plus the odd shower….. ok it was rain on Friday night, but who cares when you’ve got fishing like that?!) Daytime temps held steady at over 25C all week and the nights averaged a very pleasant 13C.

Jeremy Farthing (DL3–swim 10–Pro-Active Pineapple) took the Top Carp position with a beautiful 62lb common among his 12 fish catch which also included a couple of 40lb+ carp to a 49lb 2oz common. At the same time Logan Easton (DL3-swim 1-Activ-8) managed second place with his 58lb 8oz common and Father & Son team, Sean & Owen Fretwell (DL4-swims 2&3-Cell) took a combined 82 fish catch including 5 x 40’s to a 44lb 8oz mirror (Sean) and 17 x 30’s to a 39lb 7oz mirror (Owen). Top Catch went to Dan Hedger (DL5-swim 8-Cell) with an impressive 47 fish catch to a 48lb 8oz mirror which also included 13 x 30lb+ carp to a 39lb 8oz mirror. Also worth a mention are: Darryl Humphrey (DL3-swim 16-Activ-8) with 3 x 40lb+ carp to 45lb and Dave Legard (DL5-swim 4-Activ-8) with a 47lb 5oz mirror and 5 x 30lb+ carp to a 37lb 5oz mirror.

Paul Miller (DL1-Hornets-Destiny Ester Marine) and Joe Player (DL1-Beach-various boilies) share the Top Carp honour for DL1 with their 54lb 8oz mirror and 54lb 8oz common respectively. Both anglers took 13 fish catches for the week and while Joe took 2 x 40lb + carp to a 42lb common and 3 x 30lb+ carp, Paul took 5 x 30lb+ carp to 38lb. Close on their heels though, was Pat Giddings (DL1-Sunset-Maple Activ-8) with a delightful 53lb 8oz common and 3 x 40lb+ carp to a 45lb mirror. Also worth a mention are: Bradley Holding (DL1-Cherries-Ocean Fruits) with 4 x 40’s to a 46lb common, David Tugwell (DL1-Unknown-Cell) with a new PB 47lb 15oz common, John Wrench (DL1-Ladies Lair-Cell) with 2 x 40lb+ carp to a 47lb 8oz common, Shane Carroll (DL1-Snags-Activ-8) with a 30 fish catch including 6 x 30lb+ carp to a 37lb mirror, Leo Self (DL1-Kingfisher-Activ-8) with a 29 fish catch including 2 x 40lb+ carp to a 42lb 10oz common and Lee Moore (DL1-Slope-‘Meaty Secret’) with a 27 fish catch including 2 x 40lb+ carp to a 45lb common.

The Top Carp honour for DL2 went to Dave Kelsey (swim1-Scopex) with an impressive 49lb 4oz mirror while Top Catch went to Chris Potter (swim10-Pro-Active Pineapple) with a 30 fish catch to a 44lb common. Also with a 30 fish catch to a 37lb mirror was Lee Parker (swim 9-Pro-Active Pineapple) while Baz Young managed a respectable 23 fish catch including 6 x 30lb+ carp to a 39lb 4oz common. Also worth a mention are: Chris Breffit (swim 17-Cell) with a 45lb 2oz common among his 16 fish catch and Chris Hicks (swim 27-Activ-8) with a 44lb 10oz common among his 14 fish catch.

10 x 50lb+ carp and over 40 x 40lb+ carp in one week!
Nearly 9 tonnes banked in one week!
Catches up to 68 fish in one week!

Amazing results….. the fishing and weather were both superb! - so were the food and the Bailiffs according to the anglers reports. It is really nice to hear that their hard work is appreciated - thanks to everyone who takes the time to let us know.

Top spot this week must go to DL regular, Tony Gouldsborough (DL1 – Beach – Activ-8), with his 42 fish catch which included a spectacular 4 x 50lb+ carp to a 57lb 8oz common and 10 x 40lb+ carp to 45lb. Tony’s haul totalled over 600kg…. nice one Tony! Other 50lb+ carp on DL1 went to: Len Cooper (Chimneys – Activ-8) with a 57lb 4oz common, Roger Jennings (West Point – DreamLake Specials) with a 54lb common and Paul Sandford (Cherries – Cell) with a 53lb common. Also worth a mention is Andrew Gage (Snags – Cell) with an admirable 25 fish catch to a 41lb mirror.

DL2 also produced a pristine 51lb common for a very ‘chuffed’ Martin Barlow (swim 23 – DreamLake Specials) while, at the same time, Mark Williams (swim 17 – Cell) hit the jackpot with a 68 fish catch to a 41lb common. Also worth a mention are: Lee Freeman (swim 15 – Grange) with a 40 fish catch to a 43lb common, John Storer (swim 30 – Premier Baits) with a 40 fish catch to a 40lb cat, Philip Freeman (swim 16 – Grange) with a 38 fish catch to a 39lb mirror and Richard Baker (swim 19 – Solar Club Mix) with a 25 fish catch to a 44lb mirror. In all, DL2 delivered nearly 4 tonnes of fish for the week!

DL3/DL4/DL5 also produced a couple of really nice 50lb+ carp, an excellent selection of 40lb+ carp and cats to 103lb. Top Carp went to Malcolm Bullock with a delightful 54lb 5oz common (DL3 – swim 13 – Grange) with Paul Whitfield (DL3 – swim 12 – Trigga Ice) coming a close second with his 51lb 2oz common. Certainly worth a mention are Steve Simmonds (DL3 – swim 8 – Baitcraft TI’s), Ian Hobbs (DL3 – swim 7 – KGI’s) and Shaun Cooper (DL3 – swim 5 – Baitcraft TI’s) who managed well over a tonne of fish to a 45lb common between them…. as Steve said, “F****** great – happy, happy days!” Also in the mix are: A Olivo (DL5 – swim 4 – undisclosed bait) with the Top Cat of 103lb among his 20 fish catch, Danny Richards (DL4 – swim 3 – Pro-Active Pineapple) with a selection to a very nice 46lb mirror and Robert Penney (DL4 – swim 8 - Pro-Active Pineapple) with 5 x 30lb+ carp to a 38lb mirror.

Finally, the weather did us proud and stayed sunny for best part of the week. Average daily temps were a lovely 24C (day) and 14C (night)…. is summer here at last?
