Carp this
week went to Chris Houps (DL5-swim 6-Cell) with a huge
51lb 8oz mirror and set a New DL5 Record… nice one
Chris!
Top Cat went
to Barry Leighton (DL5-swim 5-Active 8) with a monster
107lb specimen from his 17 fish catch, which also included
carp to a 35lb 6oz mirror.
Top
Catch also
went to Chris Houps (DL5-swim 6-Cell) with an admirable
24 fish catch including his 51lb 8oz specimen, a 44lb 2oz
mirror and 9 x 30’s to a 37lb 6oz mirror…
Chris said that his holiday was “awesome…
by far the best fishing experience I’ve ever had!”
Other notable catches went
to:
DL1 – James
Taylor (Sunset-Trigga boilies) took a nice
40lb 8oz common and a couple of 30lb+ carp
to a 34lb 8oz common while young Luke Drea
(Deer Dip-Pro-Active Pineapple), on his second
trip of the year, took carp to a 40lb+ mirror.
DL2 – Terry
Edgell (swim 26-Active 8) nearly made Top Carp with his
delightful 51lb 6oz common; Spencer Blake (swim 10-DLS
Pineapple) managed 2 x 40’s to a 44lb 8oz common
and 30’s to a 38lb common; Joseph Griffin (swim16-Active
8) took 3 x 40lb+ cats as well as carp to a 37lb 8oz common;
Ken Hall (swim 9-Active 8) took carp to a 36lb 10oz mirror;
Luke Miller (swim 6-Active 8) took 3 x 30’s to a
lovely 36lb grassy and DL regular Jeff Acreman (swim 27-KGI)
took a creditable 17 fish catch including 3 x 30’s
to a 36lb mirror.
DL3 – Carlton
Davies (swim 3-Active 8) took carp to an impressive 48lb
8oz mirror; Michael Davies (swim 6-Active 8) took carp
to a 40lb common; Steve Davies (swim 1-Active 8) took carp
to a 37lb 8oz common and Ian Watkins (swim 11-Pro-Active
Pineapple) took carp to a 32lb 6oz mirror.
DL4 – Jason
Mitchell (swim 3-Active 8) took a 19 fish catch including
a trio of 40lb+ carp to a stunning 48lb 6oz common and
Rob Barnes (swim 2-Active 8), who also took a 19 fish catch,
had 3 x 40’s to a 41lb 8oz mirror.
DL5 – Angus
Hrehorow (swim 2-Active 8) took carp to a 43lb 8oz mirror;
Harry Hrehorow (swim 3-Active 8) took carp to a 38lb 8oz
mirror and cats to 38lb and Tommy Dawes (swim 1-Active
8) took 4 x 30lb+ carp to a 33lb 12oz mirror.
A largely sunny and warm
week produced daytime temps of up to 28C (averaging around
25C), while night temps held at a comfortable 12C. However,
we did have a few showers at the start and end of the week

Well
the hot, steamy Summer days of last weekend have carried
right on through this week too…. reaching a peak
of 35C on Monday the daytime temps did not fall below 30C
until going home day on Saturday…… scorchio!!
The night temps even stayed at a balmy 16C. Like the fishing
this year - it has been Hot! Hot! Hot! For up-to-date weather
